Good night on the new track!

Another great turnout for the first race on our rebuilt track with another main in the 6 Novice class and as you can see in the picture, the 9 intermediates were bar to bar on the last straight.

There were some soft spots and some bumpy bits but everyone handled it no problems and the fast guys made it look easy. It is going to be a lot of fun once the track firms up and we get a chance to groom it.

We all hope that Harold Woolnough is okay after that nasty spill on the final straight, thanks to everyone that helped Harold out.

Thank you Cycling BC!

Ridge Meadows BMX would like to thank Cycling BC for their assistance with our track rebuild. Adam Muys from Cycling BC conceived the changes and spent two days working with us, we could not have done this without their help.

The track is now ready to ride. Keep in mind that we still have lots of grooming to do, some rocks to dig out, areas to level, and the track will have some soft spots until everything fully settles. We will be having some work parties in the upcoming weeks to tune things up so keep and eye on the website and Facebook so you know when to come help out.

It was great to see past president Finn Jensen out to check out what we were up to and to lend a hand for awhile. As you can see, we managed to find something that Curtis could do with his foot in a cast.

Some pictures of the rebuild have been posted in the Picture gallery.

Two classes with mains tonight!

17 Half trackers and 52 full track riders so another great turnout, but even more impressive was that there were 12 riders in 6 Novice and 10 cruisers so we had mains in both classes. Considering that only a bit over a month ago we had 5 or 6 riders in a combined 5 and 6 class this is fantastic. So great to see so many new riders out.

Our good friend, Armand from Urban Menace bikes has posted some pictures in the Picture Galleries.

Great turnout for our first Learn2Ride Clinic

We had 32 new and novice riders come out for our first Learn2Ride clinic and our coach Mischa Partridge did a fantastic job teaching all the riders the basics of racing. There were lots of little riders going off the gate by themselves and making it around the full track by the end of the two hours. Thanks everyone for coming out and mark next Saturday on your schedule for the next clinic. Check under the Pictures menu item for some pictures from the clinic.

Tonight was awesome!

Not a drop of rain in sight, 21 half trackers and 56 full track riders, what a great night at the track.

We had full gates in the 5 and under and 6 novice classes along with a bunch of new riders out in some of the older classes. Even with some of our regulars sitting out tonight we still had some fantastic motos. Thanks to everyone that came out tonight and all the volunteers for keeping things running smoothly.
